Academic Interests and History
My academic interests include computer architectures for high-performance computing, rapid prototyping of digital systems, reconfigurable computing, FPGA architecture, and heterogenous computing architectures.
My current academic goal is to immerse myself in the scientific community, both through coursework spanning the many subjects of Computer Science, as well as Mathematics and Statistics, and through active participation in research.
I seek to build a solid understanding needed to succeed in graduate study, and aim to continue academic presuits through post-doctoral study.
I also enjoy teaching, and hope to build a career involving both teaching and research.
I pride myself on build a "builder", taking care to understand a system to the extent required to implement it, not only to predict its behavior.
On the side, I am highly interested in computer graphics, mathematical modeling of natural phenomena, and procedural content generation.
I am expecting to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in the Spring of 2010.
I also
I am currently in the process of applying to a number of universities as a PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE, also referred to as CES, EECS, and a handful of similarly CS-EE titles)..
